Metacarpal region commonly affected.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Biopsy will confirm but xanthomas can bleed profusely. FNA less scary (but also less diagnostic) but would still do under GA to get decent pressure afterwards.&lt;/p&gt;
