Allegedly Purina neurocare is based on the MCT oil but can't find the salt level and as Bromide will be in the therapy, I need to know nail the salt level. If anyone has a purina rep that could tell me the levels-that would be good.

I had thought of using hills b/d because of the cognitive decline aspects but also in my high cholesterol basenji cohort that throw CVA/IGVD, B/D was suggested by a neuro/nutrient diplomate as carbohydrate low cholesterol diet-in this case I thought I could use it help me up the phenobarb/Bromide doses and reduce effect of fat on pancreatitis and phenobarb interference-I am keen to up the phenobarb dose-at lowest level-i can't find anything about Vizsla being a ABCB1-d gene drug issue but the opposite of that is how sensitive many sighthound breeds are to so many drugs-will be doing 5hr and trough phenobarb as we climb. So initially carbos were my option but now you have made me think about storage disease etc so that throws a curve ball in my thinking-will have to redo my thoughts on the neuroscience diet then.

huge thanks

Potentially a low carbohydrate diet in case there is a degree of glycogen storage abnormalities.
