What are others doing this year? Theoretically, we need to have a discussion

RE: Lepto2 / Lepto 4

Yes I think you’re right Gillian. We managed to not run out last year (just) but I’m sure our MSD rep said they would fund any L4 restarts required.

RE: Lepto2 / Lepto 4
Sorry I wasn't clear: I will offer them a 2nd L4 but most don't want to pay
The point was more to emphasise that this is hardly off-licence - they are given a choice.

RE: Lepto2 / Lepto 4
There are plenty of dogs that come in for a booster which have previously only had L2 I just give them L4 and say the +2 bit is a bonus and when we boost year on year it will gain adequate immunity.
I really can't see why there is an issue. There are plenty of dogs that come in for a booster which have previously only had L2 I just give them L4 and say the +2 bit is a bonus and when we boost year on year it will gain adequate immunity.
If we give a single L4 vaccine this year, should we get the client sign an off-licence consent form?
How is this off-licence? If you have a dog that comes in for a booster which had another brand of vaccine at their previous vet do you get them to sign an off-licence for that. You are in danger of over-thinking this.

RE: Lepto2 / Lepto 4

If a dog has had 2 injections of L4 4weeks apart previously in life, would a single injection of L4 not be sufficient to stimulate required immunity?
