I've read their ad - throat gaggingly twee.

Just a sign of the over-affluent anthropomorphic world we live in (at least in some parts of the country).

I think my lot will be staying on Aldi's finest - seems to do them pretty well.

Twee, and as Martin says marketed at folk who over-humanise the things. Can't see any harm though.

These phrases would immediately put me off.

"Dogs are a lot like snowflakes"

"Dave is a crazy dog man in training. He tries to deliver as many boxes as possible himself so he can meet (and hug) as many of the Butternut Box gang as possible." Unsure if he wants to hug the dogs or their owners (parents)

At least I haven't seen the word , furbabies

It is pandering to dog owners who anthropomorphise their pets (they call the owners parents FFS ) but if it provides a balanced diet without the risks of raw feeding for the BARF brigade, I guess it can't be too bad if they want to waste their money.

They had a stand at Countryfile Live when I went a couple of weeks ago. I felt the urge to 'start a discussion' on the matter with them but my own nutritional needs were taking priority as well as the necessity to get to the evening party with Bob Harris and find a good spot before it started.

I've met one of the vets involved in setting up tails, and quite a few vet friends have their dogs on it and are big fans. I might give it a whirl with a 2 week free trial. Are vets involved in setting up Butternut Box do you know?

From the name I initially thought it was some sort of wholesome meal delivery company for tired vets who can't cook...
