We order direct from Bausch & Lomb UK, PureVision 2, BV 8.6, power 0. Only one size, and seems to stay in well.

I've just looked at the article that you referenced, and I think we use the exact same contact lenses as in the photograph in that article!

As they're soft and flexible they seem to work ok in most size eyes and at least are cheap if they do come out

The use of human bandage lenses has been mentioned before as they are so much cheaper than the veterinary ones. I know you're in Australia but where do you source them from and how do you select the correct size? Perhaps someone from the UK could answer those questions for our situation here.

When I first started using bandage lenses they were a great success and I generally took them out after a week. Then I went through a phase where they fell out almost straight away so I gave up and went back to nictitans flaps. I tried one again a couple of weeks ago on a Boxer after a grid keratectomy then a nictitans flap failed. I'd measured and ordered the correct size but it fell out after 2 hrs before it left and was replaced then again after 24 hrs and the the owner managed to save it so it was replaced but the third time it was lost.

PS I found this article seems the mean time was 9.8 days with up to 22 days.
