That's why I use the IM3 dental mat- means we can use the prep table which adjustable in height and position in the room, should you be inclined to move it, Easy to clean (table and mat- machine washable) and provides better support for the head when extracting and using the drill as and when. However I haven't used it in dogs so don't know how good it is for them, but I think would be fine. And cheap! But I rare;y need a bath tub for cats

At the old site we used a flat table with a grid to lift the head and an incontinence pad to catch the juice. When we moved to the new site we wanted a 'proper' dirty ops table and got one of these:

It's used for dentistry, radiography and dirty ops. It's a good table and easy to adjust and sit under, it's just a bugger to clean. We have a rubber mat on top and are back to the grid and inco pad for the fluid!

I have a very shallow tub table - easy to clean without falling into and possible to sit underneath if you have small legs!

We have Shor-line Tub stainless steel table with a cut-out for sitting and it sits on its own base with cupboard space underneath. It is also used a scrub table and has a shower tap for bathing patients and water connection for the scaler so we don't have to use a stirrup pump although that's more down to the plumbing than the table per se.
