Because they are in short supply the manufacturer jacked the price up. I estimate 6 times

From the cheap ophthalmic supplier Minims Atropine are £15.10 +vat (which we use); atropine sulfate drops 10ml £125 +vat!!

Like you I would have reached for the atropine that was on the shelf at the time! Good reminder to double check pricing before irrevocably opening stuff. I'm surprised whoever did the ordering didn't notice and question this price when they put it on the order though.

I noticed you said the price to the client WOULD have covered your fee for the day - what did you charge client in the end?
