interesting, Anthony! I thought of calling the council to check, but then remembered how useless they are... I doubt anyone I would get to speak to would have a clue. There must be something!

Some councils have been using Urea to grit rather than road salt? Could be something like that?

Another one this morning!! This one also had a swollen muzzle however, so some sort of allergic reaction?? None of the rest had any swelling or abnormalities.

I did think of the salt and wonder if there is anything in it. Would that cause behavioural issues? None of them seem remotely unwell

Could it be ingestion of salt from licking paws after being on walks? Mild hypernatremia? Though not sure how much they'd have to ingest to cause that!
