Our Dr Suni software cannot be transferred for some reason at the whim of the software provider. They want close to $900 for a two licence version.
I will be investing at some stage in a size 1 sensor

RE: Digital X-ray software

In a sensible world they would just release the old registration code to allow the software to be moved but apparently this is not an option!

I was really just wondering if any of the stand alone imaging software would work. Images are only stored as Jpegs as far as I can see.

Everything seems to be working fine so if there is no work around we will probably change nothing until I go for a new sensor. Does normal bundled software usually work for other brands of sensor?

RE: Digital X-ray software
Any ideas for choice of sensor/software or better still a work around?
Keep the old computer just for this task, firewall it away if needed (e.g. old OS no longer getting security patches); can you use Windows' Compatibility Mode to run the old software on the new hardware

RE: Digital X-ray software
Not Macs.
I can't help you directly then.

But there must be several software companies who can give you what you want. Have a google. You do not have to use what the sensor suppliers use.

RE: Digital X-ray software

With our Agfa CR system its never been directly linked to the PMS, we just download the images to a USB stick then transfer them from that to the client file and an uploaded image on a work station. It also backs up to a CD ROM so we could use that. Can you not do either of those? Takes about a minute - unless you're doing dozens a day its a lot better than forking out that amount

RE: Digital X-ray software

Not Macs.
You need third party software.

Do you run Macs?

It's still going to cost you about a thousand dollars. Arguably, that's not so much compared to the four thousand pounds or so for the sensor.
