 Looking at a blood smear from a lizard losing weight and found lots of binucleate eosinophilic round cells. 
 There is a strong index of suspicion of multifocal neoplasia from ultrasound scan - could these be circulating neoplastic cells? &lt;p&gt;To my eye, they are about the same size as the mature RBCs, and I would be thinking a RBC precursor type cell most likely rather than of leukocyte lineage... but then it is a reptile...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Not sure if would help, but NEW methylene blue staining (that&amp;#39;s staining with the supravital stain &amp;quot;New methylene blue&amp;quot; rather than staining with a new bottle of the entirely different stain &amp;quot;methylene blue&amp;quot;) in the event you had a spare drop or two could be done and *might* give an insight?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
