&lt;p&gt;Make a big cranial abdominal midline&amp;nbsp; incision and start your search at the pylorus and follow the intestines distally. The impacted pellet will have a build up of fluid behind it and an area of mucosal haemorrhage over it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Don&amp;#39;t cut it out, milk the pellet all the way through the intestines to the caecum.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Give good pain relief and cross your fingers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Good luck. They are nice surgeries to do but critical patients.&lt;/p&gt;
