Yes, it's on metronidazole and amoxy-clav. Being rechecked today, so will see how it's doing.

My understanding is that the antitoxin will stop new toxin from binding but won't displace existing toxin so, assuming you have no ongoing infection present, I suspect it will not do much.

Ha ho, the reply is food for thought

Interesting evidenced based study that I saw in a review 2 days ago in a magazine hanging about (sorry I think it was RCVS related)

It basically said that, the evidence for giving anti-toxin at any stage was pretty flimsy and if memory serves me right, only then within the first 24 hours
