OP doesn't say why he's testing or what species. I prefer LDDS test for Cushing's, especially in cats, but ACTH stim. test is 'gold standard' for Addison's in both species.

I've never heard of this and have carried out a great many over the years with no issues whatsoever.

One tip however, if you're not already aware of it, rather than follow the normal guidelines for dosage you need only give 5ug/kg which gives a huge saving and the remainder can be frozen in aliquots for future use.
