Happened 5d ago, seen by me yesterday (had nsaids and ab over the weekend). Debrided the stinking necrotic flesh and there's a rather large skin deficit. Not much under-running at all of remaining tissue

RE: Mandibular wound management advice

I was not contemplating immediately whopping off its jaw, don't worry

RE: Mandibular wound management advice
Not much under-running at all of remaining tissue and jaw and teeth are fine.
Crikey, no need to contemplate mandibulectomy.

Things heal! Give it time.
Debride/clean every few days and leave open?
That would work. Cleanse gently, don't debride.
O-tube and some kind of moist wound-management using a muzzle?
Ingenious idea. Sounds good.
