Not that that will make much difference - I had a Dachsund which continually suffered with paraphimosis even though it was castrated and a simple surgical procedure to enlarge the preputial orifice solved that. However it got an erection, tried to shag its wicker basket and got its penis stuck. Sadly this resulted in loss of blood supply to the offended member which went gangrenous necessitating its complete amputation with a total resection of the remaining prepuce. It peed like a girl from its belly. Just saying!

Water soluble lubricant and an owner trained in dealing with the problem is your best bet. Possibly anti-inflammatories also, and neutering. Often with time and rapid, early and atraumatic intervention these things settle down. I certainly wouldn't be in a dash to slash!

The only ones I've seen who've had surgery are those that get really stuck and the owner can't stuff back in at home! It just seemed too mild for surgery (doesn't bother dog, easily replaceable) so just seeing if there was a middle ground for treatment.

Yep, KY jelly sorted!

RE: Paraphimosis
or surgery (but isn't bad enough for that)
Isn't it?
