I have IT support looking into the PayPal side of things. It may take up to 7 days for your membership to be verified. Once it is verified then you will receive an email with the login details.

I too have had a problem with Paypal taking money but no receipt or email. Now 4 days since I paid. I have emailed secretary at SAMSoc but maybe this needs looking at.

Martin, you should receive an email with your log-in details but it can take several hours from my experience. If you have not received one by the end of the day then message me and I'll chase it up. I have asked the IT support to look and see if there is anything wrong at present.

[/quote]Just started my registration process by applying for membership. It progressed to payment, took my money and then just went to a PayPal page that wanted me to sign up for loads of stuff I don't want. There was no way back to the SAMSoc website, no acknowledgement of my payment and when I went back to try and log in it asked for a password I don't have, it didn't recognise my email address when asked for a password re-set and I've not received an email from SAMSoc. Am I too used to things happening instantly and need to be more patient or has it gone tits up?

Hmmm...thanks for the heads up, sounds interesting, I will consider - depends when I go in to have the plate out of my clavicle! I like Jon Wray (for the benefit of others - not the same one who annoys us on here fortunately!) and I can have a 'discussion' with Kieran over NT-proBNP. Probably would drive up Saturday morning so will miss the drinks but would be good to meet and have a chat.
