I'd be very happy to but have quit general practice! I have a lot of data on reptile neoplasia types following collaboration with pathologists, a smaller amount on squirrels and a little on zoo species (again money hinders firm diagnosis) and can point you in the direction of vets with other niche interests if you want to explore this?

RE: Common Tumours in Guinea Pigs

Very interesting, I think some of the US zoo vet groups were trying to find a way of compiling a database on exotic animal tumours to see what the prevalence's are but don't think its got off the ground. Really think if looked into there could be a lot of interesting stuff coming out... I also think of the number of random lumps and bumps in the small furries/scaled and feathered patients that don't get worked up generally due to financial constraints means that it is quite likely we are missing something big. I did my PhD on urogenital cancer in California sea lions, the high prevalence (26% of all cal sea lions admitted to a rescue centre!) was picked up by routine necropsies.

And if anyone reading this wants to collaborate to try and get more data on what is going on WRT neoplasia in exotics in general practice I would be interested...
