Has anyone been using the liquid thyroid tx from Norbrook? It says in the data sheet its not been evaluated for in-food use. I have had two people today wanting to start using it and my own cat who is a tw*t to tablet is currently on it in food

RE: liquid thyroid meds

great thanks for the feedback.

RE: liquid thyroid meds

Using Thyronorm in my own 18yo cat who is impossible to tablet.
I have spoken to norbrook about this a couple of times. They don't have the license to use on food but should be fine, possibly may even have better bioavailability.

the most important thing is to give it the same way every day and use your blood tests to monitor if cat is getting the correct dose

RE: liquid thyroid meds

thanks. are the ones using it in food showing good therapeutic response?

RE: liquid thyroid meds

We suggest people follow the data sheet and put the medication directly into the mouth. Most do this but some are putting it in food and there does not seem to be a problem.
