Using Thyronorm in my own 18yo cat who is impossible to tablet. He takes it put on top of a small amount of Lick-e-lix. Blood T4 is stable and Thyronorm is much less bother than crushing felimazole or using percutaneous methimazol which I tried.

I've only used it on 1 cat so far, and that owner is putting in food as they wouldn't entertain the idea of syringing the cat orally. Based on the bloods yesterday it is working very well indeed & I'm having to drop the dose!

We have clients who can only get it in with food, T4s normalise but I'm not sure if the effect without food would be greater or lesser

I have spoken to norbrook about this a couple of times. They don't have the license to use on food but should be fine, possibly may even have better bioavailability.

the most important thing is to give it the same way every day and use your blood tests to monitor if cat is getting the correct dose

We suggest people follow the data sheet and put the medication directly into the mouth. Most do this but some are putting it in food and there does not seem to be a problem.
