I am not concerned about them getting stuck because I am fortunate in that I have immediate access to endoscopy if needed (although never needed it, not for that purpose at least). I figure vomiting is about as forceful as swallowing so if it went down it should come back the same way....?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If it was more like a linear foreign body or some time had passed since ingestion and it might have worked its way further into the intestine, I would probably be more cautious.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

I did suggest that if we operated on every vomiting dog when there was a sock missing from the laundry we would be doing ex laps every day but she was insistent. When we finally opened it up the stomach was full of a chewed up football although strangely they hadn&amp;#39;t missed that.
