The dose the owner mentioned was 1 tablet per cat onxe a week. Any side effects??

Not really a practical option these days since the data sheet was changed to read that any contents remaining in the vial must be discarded immediately after opening, meaning you would have to charge a client for the whole bottle no matter how little was used. A ridiculous state of affairs but there one has it

I used it in our cats as a student and later, mainly because we liked to have kittens every now and then but not every 6 months or more frequently! I never saw side effects, but then our cats did not get as old as they do nowadays. The only problem was that if you forgot, then they became pregnant straightaway, and if you then continued to give the tablet (Not realising that she was pregnant), there could be birth defects in the litter. So yes, I would now probably rather use delvosteron (is it licensed for cats).

I would not hesitate to prescribe provera as a substitute for ovarid in the few cats I know who depend on that.
