Consider hepatic lipidosis as a complicating factor regardless of the primary cause.

Nothing else leaps out from the rads/bloods so I would review diet/husbandry/routine changes for triggers for intestinal motility reduction and treat symptomatically (prokinetics, syringe feeding, analgesia and quiet, calm surroundings). If no change in 48hrs then look at sedation for dental radiographs as osteomyelitis/apical extension etc can cause ongoing pain but not have any clear external markers

E.caniculi came back positive, he was treated with initial 28 days panacur & is now on quarterly 9 day preventative courses, and so far he hasn't looked back!

Would also be interested to hear any other opinions/thoughts too.
