I wondered whether it was just a stock image of a vet operating on a cow, so I did a google search on the image. I'm pretty sure his left knee will be on the floor or he'd be very unstable. That's just stupidly dangerous.

Then I'm not sure myself about the location of the wound - seems very far forward. I clip a lot of hair so I have a good margin around the wound. I'd have gotten rid of the shitty hair above the udder.

I then looked harder. There are two over dressed 'assistants' wearing head covering, masks arm length gloves and aprons, yet the guy operating is wearing nothing special. It just makes no sense.

(I do wear a green over gown, arm length gloves and sterile surgical gloves, but why dress up the assistants but not the surgeon?).

I though a very odd choice of a 'typical' picture to illustrate a cow in an article.

RE: Vet Times Bovine Caeser Picture

[quote user="Michael Woodhouse"]
