&lt;p&gt;I agree that this seems a short duration of treatment, most of my cases will be on medication for around 6 months unless there is some reason not to.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think the problem with writing a guide like this is that if you asked 10 different people to write it you would get 10 different protocols as there is little evidence to guide what we should do.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So I wouldn&amp;#39;t use 2mg/kg/day of azathioprine for as long as 6 weeks (as seems to be suggested) as I worry about myelosuppression.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So I would stick with what seems to work for you!&lt;/p&gt;
