Can you recommend any online sites which offer good general advice to rabbit owners that I could direct them to eg when they get the rabbit?

RE: Bullying by entire female rabbit

Entire females can be quite vicious and it is very likely that now she is mature (physically and mentally at this age as well as sexually) she is trying to exert her dominance and cement her position as boss. It is still likely that neutering her will result in a significant change in her temperament and behaviour as well as the well reported prevention of uterine and mammary neoplasia so I wouldn't hesitate to spay her.

Additional things to consider doing:

Check the male- a sickly rabbit is an easier target and more likely to be bullied.

Provide more resources (food bowls, water, hides, litter trays, hay clumps, bedding areas etc) to reduce competition and allow them to separate themselves if wanted.

Add in burrowing substrate, pipes, food toys etc for enrichment.

Make sure there is enough space for 2 rabbits

Try and avoid 90 degree corners/small hutch type enclosures to reduce chances of him being cornered.

Determine if these rabbits show positive behaviours- mutual grooming, sharing sleeping areas, spending time together. If not then there may be a complete breakdown of the relationship and they will need rebonding (with each other or new rabbits)- if the owner is new to this it is often better done by rescue centres on neutral territory.
