I have the form filled in and ready to go- had been thinking about it for some time. I was being slightly sarcastic about the otoscope and conscious rabbit, a reference to 'Pets Exposed' which I thought was pretty appalling. Look it up on Youtube if you haven't seen it.

Regards,

Ella.

Re: Rabbit dental CPD

Well, you can't examine a conscious rabbit's teeth without an otoscope, that's for sure.

But you will still be missing an awful lot.

To examine a rabbit's cheek teeth fully you need GA or deep sedation.

Ella, and others interested, I'm sure you would like to join BVDA.

Re: Rabbit dental CPD
I guess Marc Abraham may have the answer!
It was advised on above course to use an endoscope to properly assess rabbits teeth under GA. I'm sure that using an otoscope on a conscious rabbit does exactly the same job

Re: Rabbit dental CPD

I attended an excellent one at Accesia in Sweden only about a month ago with Margherita Gracis and Vittorio Capello- highly recommended but I suspect another is not planned for some time, unfortunately.

I don't have their book, but plan to buy it- by far the most comprehensive reference that I have seen.

David Crossley is probably the best person in the UK to contact- he would be most likely to know. http://www.dacross.com/dacross/index.php

Hope this helps
