&lt;p&gt;[/quote]Never seen oral ulcers with FHV, I would be sceptical that when they&amp;#39;ve been seen in and FHV+ve cat that FCV was lurking there as well, not recognised or not tested for.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Were the philtrums involved? The peripheral pattern would fit on tongue.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The grooming ulcers would perhaps have left lesions on palate and dorsum of tongue as well perhaps- we dont&amp;nbsp;use chlorhex as so many of our staff get irritancy on scrub up areas so we use iodine for ops.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;what vaccine brand did you use in these cats before this?&lt;/p&gt;

Caustic agents therefore have been ruled out , and infectious nature very much in evidence. Strict isolation and barrier nursing, along with deep cleaning and antiviral bombs has stopped in house problem; but I am still seeing odd cases (this one) that have never been admitted.&lt;/p&gt;
