&lt;p&gt;You mean Sulfatrim? Yes, (although it&amp;#39;s not licensed for cats as I recall), but if you&amp;#39;ve tried it and you know you cannot get it into a cat, reaching for Septrin is not only justified, it&amp;#39;s your duty.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;How often are you dosing the trimacare and are you splitting the tablets? An alternative is to give one tablet &amp;nbsp;every 48h. I&amp;#39;ve found cats take the whole trimacares fairly well because they&amp;#39;re coated. If you split them, the powdery inside is disgusting.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But yes, daily injections might be the answer. Norodine does sting a bit, though.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Septrin is still available as a human product, and there is no reason why you cannot prescribe it under the Cascade if you have a reason to and have tried the licensed alternatives.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is Betamox a sulfa preparation? So simple and easy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We re in a rural area and (when I did more small animal work) it was rare to dispense oral medication for a cat. The owner compliance is shockingly bad.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s easier injecting 0.5ml of Betamox into the scruff than messing about giving insulin in a tiny insulin syringe - you wouldn&amp;#39;t think twice about doing that.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
