The animal is a 10yo male neutered dachshund who has a previous history of demodex but nothing recently. He was seen out-of-hours last week with lethargy, inappetance

RE: Lethargic dachshund

any pu/pd? I was surprised it came back normal as with the pain and lack of appetite he looks like a pancreatitis dog.

RE: Lethargic dachshund

Did you do a snapcPLI or a spec? Sometimes the snap tests can come back normal but there is pancreatitis, if I remember correctly it has to be really high to be abnormal.

Your scan will give you a better idea - I think you'll get a lot more information from the abdominal scan than the heart scan. If you don't find anything obvious treat symptomatically as you have been doing; I think pancreatitis would still be quite high up my differentials list.
