He followed the data sheets on side effects: became lethargic, polyuric/polydypsic, had diarrhoea and vomiting, was feminised and developed gynecomastia which took months to resolve. I&amp;#39;ve not used it again. I guess if he&amp;#39;d been aggressive and boisterous you could say it had &amp;#39;quietened him down&amp;#39;. And it didn&amp;#39;t stopping him developing a perineal hernia.&lt;/p&gt;

In cases where an animal genuinely needs medication in order to calm it I&amp;#39;d recommend referral to a behaviour counsellor in the first instance. Testosterone only drives sexual behaviour - more often than not these dogs have a behavioural issue rather than a sexual one.&lt;/p&gt;
