was still walking fine a week later and advised to keep indoors for additional 2 weeks then let out again.

RE: Medial shoulder luxation in kitten

Thanks for pointers!

It went in quite easily under sedation for those radiographs and just left it like that overnight. In morning seemed to be using leg fine and sent home on week's mesh cage restiction as long as using leg normally, otherwise back for better radiographs.

If comes back for better radiographs, what would most useful views be? Should I consider other views or just try to take well-collimated and centred radiographs under GA of the shoulder joint? Or is it that radiographs post-reduction would have been better for assessment for fractures?

RE: Medial shoulder luxation in kitten

I can't rule out the possibility of fracture(s) on these rads.

I think it important to get good quality rads centred on the shoulder joint before we take this any further.

RE: Medial shoulder luxation in kitten

If reasonably stable after reduction could try a full limb flexion sling, with post bandage xray to ensure alignment?
