&lt;p&gt;It was based on a recent culture/sensitivity from the same location where fluoroquinolone was definitely indicated (different bug that time with widespread resistance), followed by a short term relapse so a recurrence of the previous infection was suspected. Wasn&amp;#39;t my clinical decision at the time I might add, however I don&amp;#39;t disagree with it in this case.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Under most other circumstances I am very much anti fluoroquinolone unless definitely indicated, so don&amp;#39;t worry about any ongoing misuse!!&lt;/p&gt;
