I was just wondering if anyone had a top tip/mnemonic for remembering how the dot on the film tells you which side of the mouth you are on once developed? I always have to do myself a little table :/

RE: dental radiography

We clip the bottom corner off film taken on the left side, we remember it by cLip

RE: dental radiography

Thanks Rob - I think it makes sense! If the dot is on the right then it is the right side and vice versa.

Alternatively imagine it is a picture of your own teeth, and hold it alongside the corresponding jaw. As the dot always points to the x-ray head you can work out which side is which.

I think I may have made it all sound rather more complicated that it really is!
