No conjunctival hyperaemia, no blepharospasm, fluoro negative; it's hard to see from my photo, but on the nasal side of the cornea just behind the nictitans there is some odd brown

RE: Hemidilated pupil in a cat
You could add Toxoplasmosis to that list
Well any cause of uveitis really , tends to be more of a chorioretinitis ? had a cat recently with a positive for toxo and E Cuniculi , bilateral juvenile cataracts that partially cleared with a month of pred and Zodon. Its fine now. The more you look ,the more you find but the uveitis tick box is getting longer.

RE: Hemidilated pupil in a cat

Thanks guys - will run some bloods; the bit I failed to get a good picture of looked like a focal uveitis with some flare but the pupil wasn't a presentation I'd seen before

RE: Hemidilated pupil in a cat
yes ,and FIP and FIV, lymphoplasmacitic uveitis none felv lymphoma . any kind of focal uveitis . worth checking with a slit lamp for flare, thickening, KPs, increased vascularity . dark adaptation posterior synechiae , or evidence of lens -iris adhesion. dilate and look at the lens and tapetum. Ultrasound ,some masses are much more obvious behind the iris than in front of it.

no absolutely not they did not want any more treatment or surgery and were not prepared to contemplate a blind cat, or spend any more money , keeping it in etc . Normally blind cats do very well, your absolutely right .

RE: Hemidilated pupil in a cat

Are you suggesting immediately killing the cat?
