 Just dealt with an 18 month old beagle with pyrexia of unknown origin. &lt;p&gt;In the case I had, there was no (well practically) neck pain, however the owner did comment that there was lots at the original presentation&lt;/p&gt;

Langford (and this was just from the history) said a spinal tap would differentiate between the two, so it&amp;#39;s a separate entity. Yes in an ideal word I&amp;#39;d spinal tap and check, but someone somewhere has identified this disease and I thought I&amp;#39;d post it. Always something new out there&lt;/p&gt;
