two addisonian dogs in the same house is unlikely but not impossible.

Not sure about the possibility of illegal drug ingestion, I would also want to make sure I had ruled out Addison's. I discovered recently that dexamethasone is not the ideal drug to give in an Addisonian crisis as it has very little mineralocorticoid activity, oral pred is much better, or if they're vomiting i/v methylpred.

Sounds to me like it could be. I find a direct questioning with assurances you won't report it to anyone normally has them admit what the dog has eaten. Have seen a whole range of presentations in drugged dogs so there's often not a "typical" appearance but where nothing else fits it can be handy.

Over here you can get drug detection kits from the chemist but you need owner consent to do the test, so much easier just to ask straight up.
