I had a case just over a year ago that had the recommended 6 month triple antibiotic course - we just stopped the antibiotics together at that point and he's still going strong with no return of symptoms. (I think most of the TB was actually removed surgically at the start when I excised a huge lesion from his neck. It was diagnosed as most likely M.microti but a slight chance it could be M.bovis hence the recommendation of a full 6 month treatment course which seems to be the accepted "standard")

When I last checked, it was quite difficult to be certain of successful treatment beyond clinical signs, but if you did a gamma interferon test prior to treatment then you can do a repeat test and compare the results. However, this may end up being difficult to interpret. We didn't do this in my case due to the owner being reluctant to spend more money on the cat when he seemed fine & the chance of confusing results. But like I said, it's worth contacting Danielle because there might be more up to date advice on this.

Good luck!
