Enamel looks normal. No radiographs - not had GA.

It's not actually my case, and I've only seen the dog briefly to take the photos, but I get the impression that it's lifespan sadly may be limited as the owners have declined surgical treatment, although I have seen some do surprisingly well with medical management in the past. I will try to post updates when I can find out more.

Re: Yellow deciduous teeth

Of course they could, in reality be blue or gold or even black, like 'that dress'?
Puppy was bred by current owner. I haven't met the owners but from what I can gather it seems unlikely that they would be the type to give illegal antibiotics, but you never know....

Can anyone think of any explanation other than tetracyclines?

There is no record of tetracylines being dispensed for either mum or pups. Mum had a short course of synulox starting 3 days post-whelping. The only other recent medications recorded are frontline combo and milbemax, both dispensed (though not clear whether or not administered) around 2 weeks prior to whelping.

Re: Yellow deciduous teeth
Maybe the picture doesn't do it justice but they don't look particularly yellow to me just a natural variation as no teeth are perfectly white.
It really is quite dramatic in reality, the picture doesn't give a true representation of the colour.

I have now discovered that the pup came to us as a second opinion, and we do not appear to have any previous notes yet (I am chasing that one up). Neither pup nor dam have received tetracyclines from us, but I don't know about elsewhere yet. I am also trying to find out if any of the other puppies in the litter are similarly affected.

He has been scanned today and an extra-hepatic shunt is suspected, but his owners have declined surgery. I suspect I may never get to the bottom of this one, but I will post further if I can get any more information.
