Yes That's my theory. Since the ear cleaning was a "while you're at it", I don't think they're too painful at the moment, but my initial impression was that you had made the remark, before the subject of euthanasia had been discussed in the 1st place. Sorry

appreciate the candid remark, I should probably expand , the owner was talking about no longer having insurance and on a pension etc etc and if things were to get too painful for the dog or expensive then they would have to consider euth as a valid option for all their dogs- we have known each other a long time and he knows that I would not be upset by that and so I said as long as the dog was happy I would not push further investigations on the dog or him , but that maybe I could PM her when the time comes, the owner was fine with that.

I am straight forward with my clients and they are the same in return. 90% of them are really good types.

What do you think about the canals Wynne, my best guess is she has been born without the rest of the canal. I wasn't convinced she could her as owner had adopted a way with her that always involved him being in front of her and lifting her head so she looked into his eyes before giving instructions , my guess is this has occurred because they have thought she is being stubborn and needs to have eye contact.
