I work with a nurse who has one dog which is born blind (a sort of lurcher type imported from Romania) and one white border colly who has been born stone deaf. The deaf dog has a little bell on its collar. The two are inseparable and run wildly playing all over the place, you would hardly know that one is blind, the other deaf.

They bought a second one, as a pup, and the two are now inseparable. The older boy (still only 2) follows the youngster by sound, and with his limited vision. They are going to add a bell to young one's collar to provide an audible aid too.

Re: Guide Dog

That's a great story .
