Vit E required for absorption of both glucose and Vit B. Low Vit E= glucose malabsorption=bacterial overgrowth,hence improvement given antibiotics. Low Vit E=Vit B malabsorption, hence normal blood levels . CK levels due to chronic, low level myopathy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;My mixed practice background, and thinking outside the block, but if it&amp;#39;s on a seriously weird diet, then it&amp;#39;s possible - just a thought.&lt;/p&gt;

In most cases I see this after difficult blood sampling and put it down to muscle damage or haemolysis. Usually it is normal when you re-check it.&lt;/p&gt;
