I much prefer methylpred ( medrone V) for general

Re: prednisolone or methylpred does it matter?
I didn't see a reply re the chemical difference between "Medrone" tabs and "Depomedrone" injection.

Are they the same, except Depomed is an injection. NOAH says one is acetate, one is "plain" and solu-medrone is the ester???

I can't find data on half lives for dogs, but in humans the half life for methylprednisolone is around 24 hours and for methylprednisolone acetate is around 70 hours.

Re: prednisolone or methylpred does it matter?
So I think your answer is no to medrone, has to be preds only for chemo.
General anti tumour dose is 1-2mg per kg. Indicated for lymphoma, mcts, leukaemias and plasma cell tumours. So I think your answer is no to medrone, has to be preds only for chemo.

Re: prednisolone or methylpred does it matter?

I've never heard of anything other than pred being used in lymphoma protocols.
