&lt;p&gt;The owners declined referral and so was started on steroids after negative toxo and neospora results. he has had a gradual improvement and is nearly normal now except for tiring easily so is being weaned off the steroids and we&amp;#39;ll see how he goes. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I agree, there&amp;#39;s something not right with the atlas, is there &amp;nbsp;a fracture/compression of the spinal cord there?
