This has been used as chemical castration agent in a similar way than Ypozane. Observance is improved as there is prolonged release of deslorin. This does not interfere with future sexual performances. It is an appropriate form of treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia and can be an alternative to surgical castration (in my point of view the best treatment), Tardak or Ypozane.

I hope this helps

Sometimes vets do give information which is totally misinterpreted and, to some owners, "sexual frustration" is more acceptable than "prostatic hyperplasia".

For how long did vets label FAD "hormonal deficiency" which was totally and completely accepted by the population, including drug companies and vets!

The vet ,not that I can contact him, [the dog is in West Africa....] may well have been misinterpreted but, in desperation, he/she may have sort of nodded when the owner suggested the prostate was connected with excess sexual activity.
