Received the Toxoplasmma titres today - no sign - of any antibody activity. oh well will keep on looking.

Hi Garry, I too wasn't saying: "Don't talk Chinese Medicine" - only that there's a greater need to explain in more depth when talking about something which not everyone will be familiar with.

We may have come across a little harsh. Whilst completely sceptical I am not arrogant enough to say you shouldn't be talking about chinese medicine, just please remember that most of us on here are completely ignorant and may need enlighteneing on the subject! I am a firm believer that if something works it works for a scientific reason. We may not be able to understand that reasoning yet but that won't stop us looking!

Sorry folks - I will try not to talk Chinese Medicine.

But I did not have to wait long - case in today - so I am scheduled to do a Toxoplasma screen tomorrow. Unfortunately the case is not a canditate for lymph node biopsy. ( only my FNA analysis) Albumins too low and anaemic in a Doberman. So not able to do surgery.

Will let you know- how we get on.

That's the point I think...... there is no translation. It's like those crosswords where you can do the cryptic clues or the plain clues, but you can't interchange them. For instance, when chinese medicine talks of the spleen it doesn't necessarily mean that purplish organ attached to the greater curvature of the stomach.

If there were a cure for lymphosarcoma that would be great. I wouldn't care by what theory it had been devised.

Me too - but I thought perhaps it's just because I'm not a vet myself!

Garry, when using terms that a lot of members are likely to be unfamiliar with, a little more explanation would be very helpful (or a link back to a previous explanatory post).

I also think that when talking about any area of medicine about which there is likely to be controversy, scepticism, or a lack of knowledge, it's that much more important to reference comments where possible.
