&lt;p&gt;Diet is the first line treatment for these, ultra low fat, so we tend to use RCW GI low fat. Fish oil can also help.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I woud reserve medical management for those dogs that fail diet. Ursodeoxycholic acid can also help if any signs of cholestasis on bloods?&lt;/p&gt;
