That is CPD solutions, did both their dental courses several years ago - both very good, Alex Smithson is excellent.

Accesia are fantastic. I've done Dentsitry I and II throught ESAVS there (and am looking forward to III in September). I is starts with the basics but goes into a good deal of detail, but it is a week long and in Sweden so not particularly cheap!

We run a series of dentistry courses throughout the year at our hospital in Swindon - have a look on the CPD section on our Eastcott Referrals website and all of the courses for this year are listed.

We have a dedicated dentistry wet lab and separate lecture theatre and register a maximum of twelve delegates on each course.

OK, but I think you will find the Accesia extraction course basic........ might be beyond your budget though!

Otherwise, you could look through those fat booklets from BSAVA and the various commercial providers, instead of binning them immediately. Look for Rachel Perry, John Robinson, Alex Smithson, Pete Southerden as tutors and you have a good chance of getting a good 'un.

Oh yes, and I've heard vaguely of a chap in North Wales who will actually come to your practice and tuit on your own equipment.

What level or subject?

There's a good one in Dublin coming up on "Conventional Endodontics" organised by iM3. The contact I think is sheila.conroy@im3dental.com.

Bob Partridge occasionally does courses independently.

One of the CPD provider companies does them regularly: if Alex Smithson is the tutor they are probably good.

Some of the very best are done in Sweden by a company named Accesia. Rather expensive but very very good. The practical facilities are wonderful. Have a look at http://accesia.se/?lang=en I see there's a feline one in March and an extraction one in May.
