A client has a young AI bull that has returned a heavy growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from a sheath washing. The heavy growth has obscured any presence of campylobacter.

Any ideas if treatable or how to proceed

Re: Pseudomonas aeruginousa in Bull Sheath washing

Interesting. Have you got an antibiotic sensitivity?

My *gut* feeling would be to sheath wash and inject with Pen Strep (as you would to treat campy) and re-sample. Assuming sensitive to the strep.

Please keep us informed.
