Well, you should have received it. I attend personally to all mailings, using the membership list provided by the treasurer. If you are sure you haven't received it, check with Helen that your details are correct on the list.

I remain very sceptical but I'd conclude the stuff is interesting, worth considering and not yet to be completely dismissed.

A rather small study that demonstrates a reduction in plaque formation (30% in one group, 50% in another) vs. controls at 30 days post treatment. As usual, there is no indication as to whether this would influence periodontal disease. The trial ran for 30 days, not six months!

There's nothing here to justify the author's conclusion to the abstract that: "This study demonstrates that this gingival sealant can be used as another valuable tool for aiding in the prevention of periodontal disease in dogs" (Why do people write this stuff? Why can't they just stick to their findings? Why do the peer-reviewers let them get away with it?)

However, it's worth reading this paper for the discussion dealing with the mechanics and bacterial physiology of plaque formation and the mechanism by which the product interferes with it.
