I have a 6 y.o. CKCS that I am currently treating, having taken over the case when my colleague was on holiday, for ID cysts on the dorsal aspect of his front feet. Crunch came when he got a bad, very painful one on his remaining front foot (other forelimb amputated due to RTA as a youngster). O considering euth if was going to happen again so I added Atopica (at the higher dose - 7.5mg/kg?) to his regime of malaseb foot soaks and whatever abs he was on for the flareups (can't remember if he was on pred, think there was some reason why not, poss NSAIDs for arthritis). Anyway, did great and hadn't developed another cyst by the time I left that practice 6months later which was a record for him. Kept him on it, can't remember if we tapered to 5mg/kg.

Re: Reoccurring ID cysts in a CKCS

Have you ruled out demodex?
I've just started an atopic dog on Cortavance that develops very thickened skin lesions over its body, it's always had Fuciderm in the past and its owners report that the lesions are resolving much faster with the Cortavance than they did with the Fuciderm.

Re: Reoccurring ID cysts in a CKCS

How about cortavance?
