Hello again Thought i would update you on Flame . Bad news I.m afraid I xrayed her abdomen and thorax. large mottled liver mass and what looks like secondaries in lung fields. I am thinking now IMT secondary to neoplasia . Future looking bleak. Thank you all for your advice. I appreciate your time

Is the lameness always the same leg? Any other joint pain? That degree of temperature even after treatment makes me wonder about an immune mediated aetiology, would consider IMPA and maybe take some joint taps?

Hi Thanks for feedback.

Today have some more results. It is blood in U, not haemoglobin . Urine prot: creat ratio OK Still waiting C+S of U. T 104 today despite about 4-5 days on noroclav and loxicom. and she is not eating much now. Lab says at moment does not really look like AIHA but to do another blood in 3-4 days Anaemia is mildly regenerative. Coag profile Normal. Platelets still low.

I am thinking more of hemorrhage in urinary tract and planning some xrays and ultrasound of bladder and kidneys .

She is very lethargic. Resp rate up a bit. Normally when I have come across bladder tumours the dog is peeing blood but not that ill and with such a high Temp so I am a bit confused . Lameness is less obvious but she is still favouring leg a little.

Any thoughts gratefully received MJ

the "blood" on urine stick could even be myoglobin, unfortunately the dip sticks don't distinguish between haemoglobin, blood and myoglobin. Does the urine sample settle when left sitting for a while, or did you look at the sediment?

Pyrexia, haematuria, lameness, anemia and thrombocytopaenia - IMHA/IMTP??

The USG is slightly low though, and I'd second the question about the possible babesia esposure.

Heart rate, resp rate, abdominal palpation painful? If nice quiet heartrate with strong pulse and normal breathing then I would think common things are common and treat as cystitis. If racing heart, weak pulses, panting and/or painful abd think more in direction of kidneys.

Is it blood or haemoglobin? Hasn't been in babesia country has she?
